Ok I was talking with this guy the other day he mentioned he was getting new engine mounts for his car. He suggested I get a set for the Vette also, first thing that came to mind was why would I spend money on engine mounts.. He says the less the motor shakes the better for performance, the stock bushing/mounts suck. I looked at the Pfadt and they arent all that expensive but will it actually improve any performance... thoughts?

If you can stand some serious vibration they're not a bad idea. Not for me...

:hurray: for not having to lay on Kevin's garage floor this winter to replace engine mounts.

As it stands now I have no issues with vibration or anything stock cam and such. the blower doesnt shake the car but at speed on the highway Im not seeing what the motor is doing..lol Just wondering if it would benefit me at all... :drunk:

Do you have an issue you're trying to address? If not - and if it was me - I'd leave the stockers in there. A lot of people go to poly mounts only to take them out because of the vibration.

What's the purpose of engine mounts? To hold the engine in the car. :D
From what I've read, unless you're pushing 1K horsepower or more, the stockers are more than strong enough for our cars.

Depends on if you want to shake the left side of the car, or the right.

OEM is fine untill you get some age or full time racing.
My 97's have some extra play............I will go poly when ever I need to do motor work on it. I can speak to solid mounts.............NICE if you like the aircraft takeoff mode...........I do :takdir:
