View Full Version : Highway 129... Aw, man... YGBFSM...
I'm going to Anderson South Carolina this weekend. I'm going to cross the mountains on 129 and 441. Will be my first "Dragon Run".
Unfortunately, I'll be doing the driving in a @#!%&@! Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab.
I can't stand trucks. Every fiber of my body loathes trucks with a great loathing. And now... now this...?
(Driving myself and 3 passengers. It's the only "vehicle" amongst us, which will hold 4 people and some gear)

Bummer! Oh well, at least you can learn the curves for the next time you drive it.
I was just there, about half way through, the turns just about became tedious, and that was in a Vette. I can just imagine a truck......whew, good luck.

Try to limit the number of cyclists you flatten.

Why would he want to do that? :D:leaving:
I did the dragon a few years back on the bike.
for 99.9999999999% of my driving...I'd prefer a pickup. :yesnod:

Only sissy's don't like trucks!:leaving:

I'd take a new truck over a new vette at this particular point. :yesnod:

I couldn't exist without a truck. My '72 Vette is an ongoing project that is just for fun anyway. Unless I was single, living in an apartment or something, I can't imagine having a Corvette as primary transportation.

the few times I went w/o a pickup...were always short lived :yesnod:

I did it for about 4 months one time. Never again. I've also used the 4 wheel drive more times than I can count. That's something else I can't do without. I haul motorcycles, and everything under the sun. Plus tow the camper or a car trailer from time to time. I have a supercrew f-150 and with two youngin's, it's worth its weight in gold.

I've had mostly Chevy/GMC full size pickups...and a handful of F-150's :yesnod: Good trucks :yesnod:
I bought a Tacoma DC 4x4 last July and love it!
I do sometimes miss a full size pickup. There will be another some day.

I've always had a truck (Silverado) as a daily driver. Probably always will.

Be sure to take a lot of pictures of the "OMG/fear" expressions from the on coming vehicles trying to miss/go around you!!!
