It's a really cool yet quirky video. That guy is on DodgeCharger.com. He's in the process of restoring that car.
I've sent that vid via PM to a few folks because...well...this IS after all a Corvette site and it's really not right to shove my Mopar obsession too far up anyone's butt.
Thanks for posting it though...what site did you get it from? Surely not CF as they don't allow any fun there. :D

Price and quality seldom go together with collectables. Dodge made those cars to go fast in a straight line, and the build quality, comfort, front ends, etc, sucked. Just because fools will pay big dollars to re-capture their youth, doesn't make them good cars. Even the sheet metal was thinner to reduce weight. Look at the interior door panels. Lots were actually just pained tin. Slam the door and it sounds like a tin can. Young guys bought them because they were fast and cheap. Most rusted away in a few years. JUNK!

Hate to burst your bubble there general, but that's how ALL cars were made back then. If you really think that Dodge's "quality" was any worse than Chevy or Ford, I want whatever it is you're smoking (and I've owned all three). Thin sheet metal? On a 4000+ lb. car? I don't think so. Unless of course you're talking about an acid-dipped Hemi Dart. I guess it never occurred to you that there are "fools" out there who like collecting things. And if one has the cash, so what?
Wait 40 years and see what today's cars are worth. Attempting to compare a late 60's/early 70's muscle car with a car of today is about as pointless as sending a Fokker Dr.1 Triplane up against an F-22.
Oh...and I can't speak for anyone else, but I bought my musclecars because I enjoy them for what they are. I remember what my youth was like and I have no desire to recapture it (nor do I have to pay "big dollars" to do so).

Quit smoking years ago, and I was there when they were new, and we used to laugh at Mopar crap. The only had two things going for them, the engines were bulletproof, and they were fast in a straight line. Some looked cool, others, tarted up Valiants with tacky graphics. I remember pumping gas into a convertible hemi Challenger, and begging the guy to check his oil! That one I liked!

Post up whatever you want. We could use some diversification. Fords, Dodges, Ferraris, Porsches. If it goes fast, I'll read about it.
