Players just approved the deal. Training camp starts Wednesday, and I'm looking for hotels in San Antonio. :D

Need...football...
Found myself watching the damn Florida State -vs- South Carolina bowl game rerun at one point last night.

 I'll watch it, but it might be a bit before I'm knee-deep into the NFL again, similar to the NHL lockout..
Now as long as the NBA stays locked out for the next 3-4 years I'll be happier.

don't give a shit
i'm tired of the two sides acting they're negotiatoing and yapping for dollars that ultimately come out of my pocket.
I cancelled my Football package.
if it ain't free, I ain't watching it.
Already told my wife I do not want anymore sports t shirts or sweatshirts.
i'm done
she ask what I wanted instead then
I said a corvette t shirt and a damn gold chain

The reason they're over hyped is the fault of ESPN, and they do it to have something to talk about.
While I used to love ESPN they've turned into a sporting gossip channel. I haven't watched them in 2 years I bet.

I guess the players and owners don't either one realize how disaffected these lockouts and potential strikes leaves their Joe Normal fans. The 1982 strike year really pissed me off, then 1987 just about did me in. I never felt the same about NFL football after that and have not considered myself a real fan since.
Before that time, I was so rabid a fan that I'd get up on Sundays at 11:30 to watch a game even though I had worked all night and hadn't gotten home until 7:00 AM. Or stay up till midnight watching Monday night football only to have to get up at 04:00 AM and go to work.
Not anymore, if I am home and there isn't anything else I'd rather watch on TV I mightwatch the Cowboys, but if anything else is happening forget about it. Scew them all! :yesnod:

ESPN isn't bad, it is that NFL Network that just won't stop talking about the NFL all damn day.

HA! I think it's dumb that 60k people pay stupid money to sit and bite their nails hopeful that "their" team wins. In the scope of things, it means nothing. And yes it is entertainment, but way over done.
Quick, who won the SB 4 years ago? See, my point made.:shots:

Let's see - a strike that affected fans in no way what so ever - maybe a half dozen missed workouts and the -- YAWAAAWWWNNNN -- Hall of Fame Game. And probably won't result in any ticket price increases or major changes to the game on the field.
I'd say its been a lot of worry about nothin' for the average fan.

I don't know how even the most hardcore fan could have been put out. I haven't missed 1 single thing so far this year. Nobody watches the HOF game anyways. Camps are reporting on time, which is really the start of football season anyways.
I just wish they would do away with all pre season games. Evaluate your talent in camp not against each others backups while they rip the fans off.

Because a $20.00 NFL ticket is such a ripoff.

$20 bucks? But if they were not preseason they would be worth face value.
Waste of time. They show and prove nothing.
Whats their point? Evaluate talent? Thats what they pay scouting people for.

I disagree. That would be NASCAR.

If it's the 3rd preason game it's still $15 too high.
