Having a little fun while shooting this weekend. This is what happens to old electronics in my world.

If you look closely, you will see .223, .30-06, and some 00 buck.

... also got to fire this for the first time. It was still in the wrapping as you can see.

(Ignore the goofball smile)

... and yes, I realize that was only 7 shots, not 8. I fired 1 before the record button was pushed.

Everybody needs a semi-auto .30-06.

You shoulda saved some of the ammo for when the Zombie Apocalypse occurs. You'll be sorry when one of them is gnawing on your head!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Looks like a lot of fun!

Ohhhh... I have plenty of ammo left for the apocalypse. :yesnod:

Definitely a lot of fun. It was the first time I got to fire my Garand as well as the first time the Normandy Garand was EVER fired. (Not sure if I would have fired that one if it was mine...)

I don't know, rifles are meant to be fired. If it is taken car of and properly cleaned it will still be a treasure 50 years from now. If people are allowed to own weapons 50 years from now. :yesnod:

I agree 99.9%. The only reason that I say I probably wouldn't have fired that one is based on the fact that it had NEVER been fired, and he owns 3 others. He is also a multi-millionaire and doesn't care about that (owns 36 Wendy's franchises, a medical supply company, and a large construction company) where as a few thousand dollars to me is a big deal.

Another pic... the massive exit wound was a shot from an m1903 with a 150gr MILSURP round from about 50 yds.

I would NOT want to be on the other end of that.

Meh, chicken shit target, much easier than a beer can....

but smaller than a color tv PICTURE TUBE from decades ago....

or a certain portable tv set where the plastic cabinet totally disappeared, leaving the metal ONLY behind...

:hurray::seeya:

always better to pick a target that fires back....

Beer cans at 100 yds are child's play for the m1903, Garand, or the AR.

I've had my fair share of targets firing back (not talking about TV parts)... These days I prefer the ones that don't.

... and also the only person on the ship (at least in the 4 years that I was there) to shoot a perfect score on both the pistol and rifle qualification courses (M9 pistol and M14 rifle). I don't brag a lot... but I'm kinda proud of that one.
