...file conversion program/site?

i have a lot of AVI movies i'd like to convert to MP4 so i can watch on the Ipad...

forgot to mention that the files are anywhere from 1g to 4g. i've found some sites but they're limited on size of files to convert...

I usually set it up to rip an entire season of a show and then walk away. I watch them on the iPad when I'm on a plane.

are there settings i can change to make it convert faster? a typical movie is taking 3+ hours to convert... :sadangel:

I usually use the recommended settings for the target device and don't do a double pass. I am however running on an iMac. As an example, my m4v copy of Ironman is 1.53 G
