Guy on the local CL had an ad for a G22 .40 cal last night. He was asking $400. I told him I'd like to look at it. He brought it by work today, and I got it for $375. It's a late Gen III with a Hogue grip added to it. No visible wear I can see. Feed ramp looks good, mags are still in great shape (one 15 and one 10 round), and the barrel is still nice and unscratched. Gonna try it out this weekend! Haven't cleaned it yet, but here's a pic or two:

Here's a side by side with my daily carry Gen IV G19

The G19 also has the tritium night sights. Not sure how effective they'd be, but the look pretty cool on the night stand in the dark!

Night sights are only good until you fire the 1st shot. My 19 also has them as well as my 27. I need to add a 23 to the collection soon. Probably next month.

I regularly do night quals and nighttime training. If it weren't for night sights, I'd be sunk. You would be surprised how effective they are. As a matter of fact, I rarely use a rail mounted light during night quals.
