GEORGETOWN, KY - You hear warnings all the time about dogs left in hot cars, but what about chickens?
Police in central Kentucky say they rescued a group of chickens in a store parking lot. Authorities in Georgetown say a dozen chickens were left in a Walmart parking lot while the owner shopped for about 30 minutes.
Animal control says one of the birds died. The agency took the rest to a shelter.
Georgetown police say it's up to animal control to charge the owners.
