Something bit or stung me on the bottom of my little toe last week and my toe swelled up a little, turned all red and itched like a mo-fo all the time for a few days. This morning I woke up and it hurt to walk on it so I got a mirror and there was a big swollen thingy on my toe! I stuck a needle in it and a bunch or clear liquid and some blood came out so I smeared some neosporin on it and went to work.

Now it's turning purple and I am getting a wee bit concerned. Not sure if I really want to go to the doctor about it and if it gets worse I suppose the worst that could happen is they have to cut of my little toe which wouldn't be that bad I guess.

What do you think??

I looked up recluse and widow bites and it said with those you get dizzy and nauseous and stuff but I haven't had any of that.

I got tagged by a scorpion on the foot 'bout a year ago. Not a helluva lotta pain, but itched like a mofo. No swelling or anything though.

You forgot the soldering iron to cauterize it, if you don't have a soldering iron just heat up a knife red hot on the stove or with a propane torch. Stops the bleeding every time! :yesnod:

Just an ugly blister, no infection. Lanced, drained, bandaged and sent me on my way.

It was still a deadly spider/insect bite, the blister was the end result of the venom trying to kill me but failing!

I attribute it to my strong norse genes.

I am still considering cutting off my toe to appease the masses plus my new shoes are a little snug up front.
