14k foot tandem. Couldn't have asked for a better day. I'm just glad I didn't bitchass out in front of the camera. I did tell my employee (he went as well) that if I hit the ground and die - he's fired - posthumously 2 weeks so he doesn't get his bonus. It was awesome though - I'd definitely do it again.

Yeah thats an understatement. Right after I got the chute off - I signed up for the AFF (assisted free fall) to jump without a tandem. I'm hooked.

There were three things he said I must remember.

1) keep your head back
2) keep your hands on your harness till I tap you when we are out of the plane
3) kneel in the door on your knees and I'll do the work getting us out of the plane.

I was so concentrated on looking down to see how close we were to falling out I forgot the head back. My wife laughed that it looked like he made me his "bitch" the way he grabbed my head back... :rofl:

I thought I'd have felt more of a dropping feeling - like when you ride a steep roller coaster. Wasn't anything like that...

I climb up on a ladder and my nutz are in my throat. Wasn't a height thing...jumping out didn't get the feeling like if you were on a steep rollercoaster... More like diving into a pool of cold water.

It was only $95 (another $30 if you want the digital pics). I just did the DVD but when I came down and saw all the great pics he got I ponied up the $30. Pretty cool rig he had. Camera was mounted on his helmet, with a cable that went to his mouth and a little clicker thing he held in his teeth. It took pics as fast as he could bite.

Oddly they said not many people get the DVD. I don't understand why...if I'm risking life/limb I want some video documenting it.

Well being in a plane has never bothered me, but I've never been in one with the door open. :willy:

My wife and kid had similar comments to yours... it wasn't like looking over a cliff or off a bridge. Still the thought creeps me out.

Kudos to you for doing it. Looks like a blast and +1 for doing the video. Very cool!
