CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - We now know the official cause of death of a 6-month-old baby who died after being bitten by a dog.

The medical examiner's office has determined the baby boy's death to be an accident. He died of cerebral edema due to dog bite of the head.

The boy and his mother were in Chester June 29 visiting from Seattle when the child was bitten.

Funny how the media has now conditioned most of us to assume it's a pittie. Even if they way a Pit was involved I'm skeptical until I see an actual picture of the actual dog. So many dogs have been "mistaken" by the press as pits, including labs and jack russells. :rolleyes:

Yeah, interestingly they left the breed out. I would have expected them to just misidentify the dog and create a headline. :D
