My son, Senior Airman/E4 in the Air Force left today on his way back to Iraq for his second deployment. He extended an additional 6 months to complete this tour. His enlistment ended today, but he felt he had to go one more time. He is going as a counter sniper and spotter. I was very comfortable when he went the first time, but this time, I have a very sickening feeling and I have had several dreams that were not good. I did not have this when he went the last time 3 yrs ago. I know that if anything ever happen to him, I will see him again in heaven. My God watch over him and bring him home alive to his awiting mother, father, and sister. I love you and very proud of Michael.

Prayers sent

Your dreams are affected by your subconscious thoughts. Think positive thoughts, and don't fantasize about "would could happen". Shake that load off, and you'll  easier.

there is a possibility he and his team members could be home in December. Would be a great Christmas present.

Yes it would. We'll say a prayer for him to get home safely.
The bravery and patriotism he's shown is amazing.

O Prince of Peace, we humbly ask Your protection for Michael and all our men
and women in military service.

Give them unflinching courage to defend with honor, dignity and devotion the rights of all who are imperiled by injustice and evil.

Guard our churches, our homes, our schools, our hospitals, our factories, our buildings, and all those within from harm and peril.

Protect our land and its people from enemies within and without. Grant an early peace with victory founded upon justice.

Instill in the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere a firm purpose to live forever in peace and good will towards all. Amen.

God bless your son, and thanks for his service. :USA: Mine will be 21 next month. He graduated from Boot Camp back in May and told me on Sunday that he will be deploying in about a year and a half. I feel you pain. :sadangel:

The daughter of my wife's hair stylist recently jointed the Army, too. She'll likely be deployed to Afghanistan, too, after she completes basic.
