Pretty good day of it. Rode Julie and took Oakie in tow. Little bit of an issue at first with Oakie wanting to lead. Had to yank a few times on the lead rope to back him up, but he soon fell in. Took it easy because of the heat and humidity. Gave them both lots of belly scratches when we got back. I'm as covered in horse sweat as my own.

Oakie got a little thin over the winter. So we put him on some senior feed. That fattened him back up.

Julie is always trying to get into Oakie's feed pan (she'll actually grab the pan and pull it to her!). On certain days of the month he'll let her do it; but when she doesn't have the scent, it's "FU bitch, get outta my feed" and give her an "air" nip. On the days that he'll let her get away with it, I'll get in between them and keep her away. She gets miffed and I usually get a facefull of tail! :lol:
