Hi Jenn, I used to have a pad of really sticky paper, you know, the kind you need a razer blade to remove, which said something along the lines of "thanks for being an inconsiderate bastard and parking so close I couldn't use the drivers door!"....And the sticky side was on the writing side, which you would stick on the windshield in their line of sight. Wish I could still find them. :D

People have no respect for other peoples belongings. It's all I can do some days not to kick someones quarter panel after the crap they do around here. Why some of these morons even have a drivers license is beyond me.
Let me know if you need help with ideas;)

How the hell did they get out without banging in to your door?
Did you check your door for damage?

Sorry to hear this happened to you.
I keep the valve stem remover in my glove box.
Never had to use it though.

W0W!!! bunch of criminal ideas, because a guy parked crooked?

looks like the benz is in his parking "box"...and the OP is not parked all that perfect either. and what's on the other side of the benz?

parking spots are small by most comprehensive development plans in most cities/counties.

I know I'm against the mob mentality in this thread...but I don't see where the benz is wrong.

My mirror is dinged up, there is no way they got out of the car without hitting mines. I called up a cop and he came and looked at it and agreed to file a police report but can't do anything to the other driver because there was no paint transfer and their car is in between the legal lines.

You are right legally.
The question though is how did that person not get out of their car without damaging hers.
It's the common courtesy and respect of others property that's in question.

I hate to admit this since I am such a nice, calm old man now... but about 25 years ago I was sitting in my car waiting on the wife who was shopping. I sitting there minding my own business reading a book, when all of a sudden my whole car shook, hard two times.
A carload of teenagers drove up and parked within 18 inches of my car, they had thrown the doors open so hard that the put 2, 2 inch creases in my car. I just fecking exploded, jumped out of the car and starting eating ass and asking for insurance. One of the kids got smart with me and started acting like he was going to throw a punch. I told him either give me your insurance or I will call a cop (pre-cell phones) they jumped in car and started pulling out. I kicked in 2 doors as they drove off. :leaving:

It made me feel better at the time but I still had the creases in my car... no I didn't get a license number because I was a screaming, rabid asshole back then and all I wanted was blood, and by the time I though of it I had alread kicked in their doors.... :leaving:

I did do something... but its best i keep that to myself

bold = correct...as I noted in my post above.

your last sentence is sad, unless you just left them a note. I hope it wasn't something criminal.

maybe the driver of the benz was foolish & inconsiderate to park the way he/she did. but bad behavior does not excuse more bad behavior.

good luck

Yeah my parking is not as straight as it should, but my car is properly spaced between the lines and was not close to any car.

The benz parked close enough to me to block me from entering my car though the drivers door, while leaving plenty of space on the other side of his/hers car.

Now if you don't mind having your car scratched by an inconsiderate driver and climbing into your car through the passenger door, then no, the benz didn't do anything wrong.

While talking with the officer he mentioned i had a nice car and understood why i got mad, and i said that even if i had the oldest beat up car there was that would not be right, its not common courtesy. The cop was like common courtesy in new jersey? what are you smoking...

Trust me i thought about it and wanted to do something, but it would have been an impulsive action that would not have been justified to the law and is just down right not worth it.
