As I'm at my house on the computer and not going out I'm not! I do have 3 guns( one I can touch while sitting here) in very close proximity and one of them is a 9 shot 12 gauge! I normally do not “walk heavy” inside my house unless I’m preparing to go out or just came in!

I have an AMD65 with a 20 round magazine standing right next to my MP5 with a full 30 round magazine which is within 2 foot of me. :yesnod: In fact all I have to do is reach out my right hand and grab the pistol grip of either one and either one of them is light enough for me to fire with one hand. :yesnod:

I always keep something loaded with hollow points or sport load shot within arms reach while here at the house. Outside, there's always a little something tucked away for a a rainy day, so to speak.
I've never felt comfy without having my weapon on me and have gotten worse about it even after being back from the deployment for two years (matter of fact I think it's two years to day).

Love it. They have several choices for what it will hold. You can get two spare magazine pouches, but I figured I'd need a light a whole lot more than I'll need a second spare magazine.
I carry a Glock 27 spare mag, but you could fit a Glock 22 or a Glock 23 magazine in the same holder if you wanted four or six extra rounds than the 27 mag will hold.

I don't carry at home and Illinois makes it 99.9% impossible to get a CCW unless you are a retired LEO.
However there are always two loaded hand guns that I can get too PDQ if needed. Too much crazy crap happening and not all of it is in the shithole areas. Some of it happens in very nice areas too.

Can only speak for myself but I do t carry at home for safety. Just breaking in holster.
However, I've been on the wrong end of guns twice and vowed to never be powerless again. If you have ever begged for your life or for the lives of your coworkers or friends, you would not make such stupid statements.
When you are on your knees with the muzzle imprinting on your forehead at the hands of a crack head, you better pray one of us is there for you.

Been in 4 stick-ups, shot at in a drive-by.
In one of the stick-ups, I was given the opportunity to stare down the barrel of a sawed off shotgun.
In another, down the barrel of a POS revolver.
Both times, I knew I was going to die, and the only thing I remember going through my mind was, "What a shitty place to die."
This morning, I was getting ready to leave, (<cough>waitingformywifetogetready) &
had just put on my holster when I saw this thread.
I don't stroll around my home carrying, but I'm always within an arms reach.

I was damned lucky that time. Bullet pock marks 5 feet above ground level on my buildings, one two feet from the left of where I was lying. I had drawn my sidearm, the shooters had already driven off.
That, and another bad episode a year later when my brother/partner got carjacked led to the sale of our business and an early retirement.
