What does it do?

It keeps your liver free of fatty deposits. I don't take it but it saved my Amazon parrot's life. Amazons are prone to fatty livers and it will kill them. I was told to give him milk thistle two years ago and he is still going strong. Milk thistle will supposedly also keep a borderline diabetic's sugar down.
