Yamma and I had a blast. That is a beautiful state and look forward to going back.

I only went hiking one day while there and it was on Mendenhall Glacier. We kayaked across Mendenhall lake to the edge of the glacier and then suited up with crampons and ice axes and climbed up to the glacier. Once we were up there, we spent a couple of hours hiking on the glacier before we descended down one side of the glacier and into an ice cave formed by a stream that flowed under the glacier.

The ice cave/tunnel was amazing and was about 400-500' long underneath the glacier. That was awesome! Bluest blues I have ever seen.

Yamma and I have been working on our pics to get them cropped and sorted so that we could create a thread to show you guys what all we did. We took 2800+ pics over that trip. I'll post up a couple I have in here, but we have some pics that we will be posting here in the next day or so to show off our Alaska adventures.
