A bingo trial was delayed momentarily Monday afternoon due to the court reporter falling asleep in the courtroom. Federal prosecutor Louis Franklin requested the delay, saying the court reporter was "non-responsive."
The delay lasted around 45 minutes as a replacement for the court reporter was found. According to FOX6 News reporter Alan Collins, Judge Myron Thompson said the court reporter was ill and has gone to see a doctor.
The trial resumed with Franklin continuing to question Ronnie Gilley. It is still questionable whether or not the defense will begin Gilley's cross-examination on Monday.
