All the women from the show 'obsession' are in sweats, and these husbands put up with that shit.
muffin tops..all of them..not to mention they are crazy

I don't have a clue what Obsession is, but I'm sure every guy on here is a stud muffin and as such should demand nothing less than thin perfection from his spouse, as well as expecting her to be attired in starched shirts, nice jeans and high heels at all times. :yesnod:

I think a woman can look cute in sweats. But NOT in the summer.
Remember, sweats are comfy, and typically have a lose waist and are easy to take off.... :hurray:
Did I mention it is effing hot?

I don't even own any sweats. The pants might be ok on some people...the tops are hideous period, IMO.

I'll have to disagree. I saw a HOOOOOOOOT girl in the gym today wearing sweats with "Pink" written on the ass. What made it ironic was the pink whale tale she was also sporting. Those sweats were being looked at by every straight guy in the gym.

Granted a ponytail can look cute, if done right.
Key word in the phrase being "if".
Demi Moore, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Diane Lane, and Angie Harmon all seem to rock that look consistently.
So how much did she grow? :D

I won't put up with a chick that gains a bunch of weight... almost dumped my GF because she gained a bunch of weight. People love to tell me that everyone gets fat as they age but I call bullshit. My parents are 63 and 59 and still look pretty much like they did when they met in the late 70s. Sure they've aged, but they didn't get fat or sloppy.

Yep... 5 years in September. I kept telling he the important things that are hard to change/find are what we have in common and that she could fix the weight thing. It got to a point where she wasn't making any progress and had basically given up so I kicked her out.

To plus 60+ pounds, and now almost back to what she was. She's curvy so she carries the weight well, but once she got north of 200 it was too much... just wasn't attracted to her any longer.

You'd be lying if you said the physical appearance of your S/O didn't matter at all. I'm an honest person and I don't care to marry an over-weight person. To me it's no different than drugs/alcohol abuse. If I dumped her because she had a bad coke habbit and then took her back when she was clean nobody would say anything.
I have plenty of friends that run around on their S/Os that have let themselves devolve into fat messes. I don't want to be one of those guys... always out at a bar looking for something else.
Physical appearance and health are both important to me... not ashamed of that at all. Now if she didn't have her masters and a good job and a solid family and solid values I never would have dated her in the first place. I mean I'd have taken her out enough times to get laid, but wouldn't have cared to date a bimbo bartender with no future :leaving:

You say you have all the important things in common, but you kicked her out because of her weight. Seems you showed her what was really important to you. What if she gains weight again after you're married?
Yes... we have very similar views on politics and family values. We have similar interstes and education levels and we just click for the most part. Plus she has very little baggage compared to many of the women I've dated.... no past drug habbits, no children, no crazy skeletons in the closet.
I kicked her out because she gained a substantial amount of weight and wasn't fixing it.... going from 160-180 fine... 160 to over 220 (she wouldn't get on the scale after it said 220 the first time) is different.
Plus she was a miserable person at that weight... none of her clothes fit, she was always on edge and crabby and never wanted to go out and socialize. When we started dating she was fun, funny, intelligent and had a very active social life... she was a bar tender at a popular local place with a great group of friends. She quit the bartending job when she finished her masters and got depressed when she couldn't find a job and packed on the weight.
I mean we live at the beach... what fun is it being with someone who won't be seen in bathing suit? Can't really go have a fun day out with friends like you used to!
If she gained it back that'd be an issue for me... her mother is very attractive so hopefully her slothy period was a one-time anomaly.
Plus... I do love her... if I didn't I'd have been long gone when she started gaining the weight and not losing any of it.
I gotta agree with Cobra on this, but if you have everything in common that makes you compatible, you have to be physically attracted to someone as well. If that person that you fell in love with is substantially heavier for no fault but their own (laziness and bad habits), then something's gotta give!!

If she's already had trouble, you're deluding yourself if you think she won't have more problems as you get older. If you're going to marry her, you should accept her for who she is. If not, you should do both of yourselves a favor and move on.

Seriously? That's their excuse for running around? But I guess if having an overweight wife would cause you to run around, you surely should not marry an overweight woman. I guarantee, though, that slim at time of marriage does NOT guarantee slim weight in the future.
As for being the same size/looks as her mom in the future, I could site many, many examples where this is not the case. I wouldn't bank on it.

You all are missing the point... I go to the gym 4-5x a week. It's something that's important to me it's part of my life. If she's not into staying active and healthy the she's not the right partner for me. As for looks fading... again you can age w/o letting yourself go. Both of her parents look great for their age and my parents are in their 60s and have both stayed healthy and active. You don't have to reconcile yourself to becoming round with age.

"You're getting back with that fatty. So tell me, I'm really curious. What does it sound like when 2 fat people have sex."
She stormed out and me and him both start laughing hysterically. We still laugh about it to this day.

I have no problem with what your saying.
I understand it totally.
Physical attraction is part of a healthy relationship.

I understand and agree 100%. I've been hitting the gym for 17+ years and have no plans to stop. Like you said, it's part of my life. It's not important that my girlfriend goes to the gym, but it is important that she maintains a healthy, active lifestyle.
So exactly how often do you listen in on two large people having sex?
He's got fat hands.
He's got fat hands.
Burn!
No, she cut her hair short, had two kids, bought a minivan and started hating sex. I am testdriving a newer model now.
Incorrect. IMO, that would be extremely risky and foolish.
Like Cher and her Man-daughter :D

If it was up to me I would make it a law that if a woman goes over 170pnds or gains 30pnds (whichever is greater) from the time she got married, then the man can divorce/have sex with other women without any repercussions. However the law will state that if he decides to sleep with a different woman, you must buy the wife a $200 gift. But if you have to pay to have a woman sleep with you then whatever you have to pay will get split and come off the $200 gift that you would have given the wife. Meaning, if you have to pay $100 then 50 will come from the wifes gift and the other 50 unfortunately you have to pay. If women can't understand that most men think about sex all the time yet still think they can let their body and sex drive go to shit then she needs to bounce.
I would make some exceptions to the law such as the wife will have a 1 month grace period to shape up, what if the man is unemployed and cannot afford the $200 gift and maybe cap the dollar amount if the man desides to pay for sex. So that way the wife isn't left with anything. I need to be fair.

Excellent question and I'm glad you asked. The bald is nothing he can control. However if the husband gets a pot belly then the husband has 3yrs to shape up. The wife doesn't have to cook or have sex with her husband. But then if that's the case one can argue that since the wife isn't giving the husband sex then the husband has the right sleep with other women. Again I need to add exceptions to the law so there is no loop holes that people would take advantage of.

So just to be clear the woman gets a month to shape up but the guy gets 3 years? :waiting:

Really? My wife did it. I have been clean for 19 years. It's called a second chance. And when I am given one, I make good on it.

Good for you, doubly so since you didn't lose her. :)
But two facts remain...(1) that it's a very risky thing to do. :yesnod:
and (2) GEODON is crazy!!! :willy:
