Biker Wanted for Drug Probation Violation

FORT WORTH, Texas - A man on a motorcycle led police on a high-speed chase through at least two cities before being tackled on the side of a major freeway intersection.

Terry Glenn Sillers, 46, was wanted for federal parole violation for controlled substance.

The chase began in Fort Worth, but quickly led into Arlington.

For more than 30 minutes, the helmetless Sillers on the Harley Davidson wound through city streets and freeways as Fort Worth's Air One helicopter, Arlington motorcycle officers and squad cars followed behind.

Sillers sometimes drove quickly, and sometimes seemed to taunt officers who drew alongside him. At least twice he nearly stopped before speeding off ahead of officers.

At several points Sillers drove in the wrong direction on surface streets with oncoming traffic swerving toward him.

Around 1:10 p.m., Sillers headed north on Loop 820 into Fort Worth.

Near the split with Highway 121, he pulled over to the left-hand shoulder of the freeway and appeared to put the kickstand down on the motorcycle.

Before he could get off the bike, Sillers was tackled from behind by two plainclothes officers. He is now in custody of U.S. marshals.

Sillers has a lengthy criminal history in Texas.
