TRUTH! My first "OOPS" must of been when i was 10-12years old. Shot my dad's scoped 30-06. The stock was too long and i didn't have it in the pocket of my shoulder and the scope came back to my eye

she wont! :D it was like her third shot of the day, she re-adjusted her thumb and before i could stop her it was a done deal. it was minor, she didnt even feel it until pointed it out to her. she spent about 30 rounds after that along with a bunch through the .243..

Just about everyone gets scope eye if they don't watch it. Luckily, I had a good teacher and never have had it.

Seen some bad cuts from peeps that have though.

My wife just had to have a 1911. I told her you'll either dislocate your thumb or smack yourself in the face with it. Smack!

A .45 acp doesn't kick that much. You do have to hold it but :confused5:

Swords are worth more once they draw blood, not so much with guns:leaving:

When I got my Glock it was the first semi-automatic I had shot since the mid '80's. First shot, the slide just nicked the knuckle below my thumbnail. :slap:Could have been much worse, and will not happen again!

Very nice weapon, BTW.

Yeah but when she shoots you with it, you'll stay on the ground!

Funny story about 38 years ago I took my wife to the range with me. She wanted to shoot my Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum. I told her no you'll hurt yourself with it. She wanted to try it anyway. It ended up rolling in her hand and tore the webbing between her thumb and index finger, then the barrel hit her square in the forehead with the front sight making a nice cut in her forehead. She has never shot a pistol since, not even one of my .22's.:rofl:

 my kid has been around guns all her life and has been shooting from early on. saturday was the first day she agreed to shoot .44. her first shot made me nervous. it rolled back more 90* but she got a handle on it after that...
