Yep... that's right. I'm glad we paid the matinee price to see it. It was a so-so movie, not really exciting. Pretty much, you can expect it to be like every other adaptation of a comic book.

Never heard of it. :bilmem:

Probably says something right there. :yesnod:

says as much about the movie as I did. Ehh, it was a cheap diversion for the afternoon.

However, Super 8 and X-Men: First Class are both excellent...

As for The Green Lantern... DC character films suck. The two good Superman movies in the 80's and an excellent Batman trilogy in progress will prove to be the exceptions that make the rule.

Saving my money to see Cap when his movie comes out.

I agree, and I read most comic books as a kid.

Way too cartoonish for my liking. I just saw X-Men the beginning and would bet it is much better.

Bunch of spoiled people in this thread. The movie did what movies are designed to do, entertain.

I was a huge comic collector as a kid, Green Lantern was my fave...when I heard this was coming I swore I'd see it on the big screen...and the ads just look silly. I just can't bring myself to spend the cash. I'll still buy it when it comes out. In the bargain bin.:yesnod:

I heard it was as tepid as dish water. I'll wait for the DVD kiosk if I wind up peepin' it at all.

My younger brother had a chick offer to take him to see it fo free Saturday and he still balked (uh, on the movie, not hookin' up with the chick). :D

I had my hopes up early for it.

As I saw more and more of the previews my hopes waned.

I still want to see it, though. Green Lantern was one of my favorites.

Amazes me how much DC can get wrong and Marvel can get right.

I hope you mean Superman (70s) and Superman 2. To be fair to DC, what else have they made? If you take out Batman (and spinoff characters), and Superman, what's left?

Marvel has more than it's fair share of crappy movies- Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Howard the Freakin Duck, etc.

I liked Ghost Rider.

It's probably the best of the worst Marvel movies.

Just peep the mofo for .99 at Red Box, then rip that joker at home.

I work in the same building as Redbox headquarters. I just hop the elevator up to the ninth floor and they have a kiosk in the lobby.

A buck 'o five later I have the movie in hand.

Back down to five, slap the DVD in my laptop, dvdfab, and I can watch it at home at my leisure.

Beats going to the theater.
