My idea is a nice restaurant and a good meal.

Do you have the good meal at the nice restaurant, or are those mutually exclusive in your celebration? :bigears:

That works for me and the Better-Half. If it a biggy like a milestone anniversary, etc. then its time away on a cruise or at a resort.

I usually stand in the middle of the backyard and say "woohoo". I am a wild man when it comes to celebrating.

:yesnod:
and there are levels of food & drink depending on the circumstances.
there are also cigars on occasion...but usually not during sex if the celebration was to reach that level. :D
I don't, really... you celebrate when you've exceeded your expectations, right? I never exceed my expectations.

I got a fortune cookie one time that the fortune read "Blessed is the man with no expectations for he shall never be disappointed." I fail at it constantly, but that is the motto I try and live by.

I usually start by tearing off my clothes. Then, I start running around firing my AR15 into the air and hurling racial epitaphs. Once this starts getting people's attention, I start self flagellating with a dead mackerel while simultaneously humping a nun in full dress while she speaks in tongues through a megaphone. Finally as the crowd starts to grow and the cops show up, I hammer down a bottle of ipecac and start projectile vomiting while turning in circles like a possessed lawn sprinkler.
Ah...good times.

Whatcha celebratin'?
I took a consulting gig back in November and its been a rough patch. Most of the staff had to be dragged kicking and screaming to a new way of doing things. I made some rather radical changes and kind of turned the whole place upside down. It has been a very uncomfortable few months for all of us.
Last week three things happened - the most burned out person on the staff came and told me "Thanks" - she really liked coming to work again.
The hardest case against change told me that one of the biggest changes I implemented was the best thing they had done in the 20 years she'd been there
But the celebration comes because I had dinner with the CEO Monday night - last month the company had it's best month in its 85 year history.

I get a pizza made by "George", a Sri Lankan, who doesn't really "get" the dish, drink a coke manufactured in a country, Kuwait, that treats women like cattle, go outside to watch rockets fired at me by douchebag insurgents, and smile my crazy ass off.
