I have had nothing but but great performance from Fiocchi.
I think I could be persuaded to share!

...and on a side note, a friend showed me this place. I might have missed something but of all the places I looked they were BY FAR the cheapest price (especially with a mil discount to top it off).
I ordered Friday and the UPS man was at my door on Tuesday.

No doubt. By that math a person with a wife and two kids will need something like $82,000 worth of ammo to survive past 30 days into the post-zombie apocalypse world.

Kim, go to J&G Sales (http://www.jgsales.com) for your ammo needs. Not sure if they sell that brand, but ammo deals are some of the best around.

Looks like they have some really cheap prices on the steel case Russian/Czech made ammo if you want to go make lots of noise without your wallet feeling too guilty. $209 for 1000rds of Wolf 62gr FMJ 223 isn't too awful. Might have to keep that in mind.
Some of the prices on the good brass stuff are a little out of control. $550 + shipping for 1000 rds of 62gr 223 from Federal. Yikes! With the mil discount from Don's I got 1000 rds of 62gr 223 for $299 (shipped).
It is amazing how much the price has gone up for various rounds... and how fast it continues to go up. :ack:

A frangible bullet is one that is designed to disintegrate into tiny particles upon impact to minimize their penetration for reasons of range safety, to limit environmental impact, or to limit the danger behind the intended target. Examples are the Glaser Safety Slug and the breaching round.
Frangible bullets will disintegrate upon contact with a surface harder than the bullet itself. Frangible bullets are often used by shooters engaging in close quarter combat training to avoid ricochets; targets are placed on steel backing plates that serve to completely fragment the bullet. Frangible bullets are typically made of non-toxic metals, and are frequently used on "green" ranges and outdoor ranges where lead abatement is a concern.
I've seen a few ranges that will only allow frangible rounds within the last year or so.
Personally I stick with either FMJ or JHP (usually FMJ) depending on what I am planning on using the ammo for.

The spot price of copper has been at or above $4/pound for at least the last couple of years. That, combined with increased energy costs, increased transportation costs, increased labor costs, and increased demand due to electing a Democratic President... yeah, brass-cased, copper-jacketed ammo is going to be high for a while.
Whatever happened to the old CCI Blazer line? They used aluminum cases...

I shoot a lot of 7.62 so the Wolf ammo is good. Not too sure why you don't like Federal, but I may start ordering some brass stuff from Don's since they have good prices on the brass stuff. I'm not too keen on the steel case stuff for my AR's but have never had a problem with it when I have used it. I won't shoot the steel/lacquer coated stuff. What are you usually taking to the range??

when i had my .380 i went every week and shot Fiocchi FMJ
ive shot a box (JUST ONE) of federal and wolf both - my hands were black when i was done with that box and it took forever to clean my gun afterwards. swore id never use either again.
Aguilla is a great brand too - very clean. was very happy with those.
