Leave tomorrow for vacation. Flying out to San Jose and then spending 4 nights in Carmel and then 3 nights up in Napa Valley.
Theme for this vacation is golf and wine.
Not enough of a ballah to pay the Pebble Beach type prices but there are other places to play and enjoy.
Just want to get away and relax with my wife.

Say hi to Clint for me....Enjoy the perfect weather...oh, and the great wine..
Having a little Deja Vue here (someone asked this very thing not too long ago). Siverado in Napa is a great Golf Course (and place to stay).

Have a great time! Both areas are awesome. An ancestor of mine founded Carmel, they named a park after him.

We are staying at Siverado for three nights and playing golf there also
You're going to arguably the 2 best areas in CA.
I'm confident you'll have a very enjoyable vacation.

So how is the trip going?:bigears:
Just logged on a couple of minutes ago and saw this.
Trip is great so far (other than SWA "misplacing" our luggage on the flight Thursday night into san Jose...they got it to us Friday AM so it wasn't a major problem). Unbelievable weather. What a break from the heat and humidity of St Louis area. :hurray:
Down in Carmel since Friday. Played golf at the Bayonet and Black Horse courses Sat and Sun. Two great courses at a fraction of the going rate for most of the Carmel courses. Great food at several resteraunts. I would highly recomend the Rio Grill...not in downtown but well worth the short drive. Great food at very reasonable prices.
Drove down to Big Sur today
Playing golf again tomorow and then driving up to Napa to spend 3 nights at Silverado and play golf there.
This is certainly a beautiful area but it would be crazy expensive to live here.
Wife keeps saying how great it would be to live here so I told her she needs to start playing the lottery since that is the only way we will be able to afford it.
