Monster matzo marks kosher bakery opening in US

NEWARK, New Jersey - They're calling it the monster matzo.

Kosher products maker Manischewitz rolled it out Tuesday to celebrate the opening of its new corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Newark.

The enormous piece of unleavened bread measured 25 feet 1 inch (7 1/2 meters) long and 41.5 inches (a little over a meter) wide and weighed about 25 pounds (11 kilograms). That's the equivalent of more than 330 regular matzos.

A chief rabbi from Israel offered a blessing before the matzo was divvied up and distributed to guests at the event.

The Manischewitz Company is the world leader in matzo production. It also was celebrating the opening of a new warehouse.

I gave him some too, don't remember how much though. Mirroredshades should get it back. When Mirror gave it to OD and got left with nothing, I sent him a cool 2.5 mil because of the closing of the vault

My grandmother used to make me coffee when I was a little kid...you know...like a shot glass full of coffee and the rest milk and sugar. Then she'd break it apart and put it in the coffee. It was ok.

It's really something you have to grow up with and even then, it's a stretch to eat it.

Thanks, Shades. I appreciate it, but I don't gamble, not even in fun. Just not my thing. I opted to give it to jaxgator, who asked me for some bucks. He re-distributed the wealth accordingly. :)

I actually didn't mind it :cheers: My dad used to have some with almost every meal. Kind of a comfort memory for me now :cheers:
