My house was built in '88 so it's hitting that 20+ year mark where it needs some cosmetic updates. Took down the old faded shutters and repalced w/ Navy Blue, put up all new Levolor 2" blinds throughout the house, just had new roof done this weekend w/ Owens Corning Estate Grey architectural shingles (if anyone needs a roofing referral LMK), and ditched the old original mailbox for a new crisp white setup.

Still on the list will be paiting the front door a deep red and re-doing the trim, new white fencing for the portions visible from the street, and converting the 2 car garage into one large single door w/ a new opener and updated door.

The roof really cut into the car mods fund, but the standard 3-tab roofs only last about 20-years and mine started leaking last month. I was able to purchase all the supplies at Lowes on sale and they found a contractor willing to do it w/ my stuff. Saved nearly $4000 over the cheapest estimate I had. I got 5 estimates w/ an average of $8300ish. Cheapest place was The Roofing Company @ $7800 which is crazy.

That looks good. I'd like to do my roof soon, that style shingle is what I'd be hoping to do.

Did my own roof back in 03, I'd pay someone to do the next one. It only ran about $3000 for the supplies, delivery and even buying a new roofing gun but damn that is not a fun job to do. Roof turned out pretty darn good. The city inspector was impressed and asked me if I'd like to do his roof.:)

That looks really good Brian, now get some land scape up front there to finish off the great job.

New landscaping will be this spring... I cut it all out earlier this year as the bushes were all matured wrong and looked poor. I want to re-do w/ a more beach oriented setup.

I'd do some remodeling on my 6 year old house but there are just so many golf courses I haven't played....:goodmorning:

:withstupid: But my house in only 3 years old :banghead: I do need to cut down about 20 trees around the house and finish the lighting on the deck... I guess golf will have to wait a little bit this weekend
