Looks like somebody's CCXR wasn't running right.

1000+hp and 2800lbs, > 700hp and 3200 lbs.

I believe that was the 600HP flavor of CCX not the 1000HP flavor of CCXR.

Probably so. Just going by what the video says, and the "1024 HP" window at the beginning of the video.

I vadered it from Top Gear and they indicated it was the big dog 1000hp model.

I believe that was the 600HP flavor of CCX not the 1000HP flavor of CCXR.The functional difference between them, is the CCXR was designed to run on E100 and can run a much higher boost level because of it.

The CCXR will also run on gasoline, but doing so effectively detunes it to CCX level, which is 800bhp, not 600. So really, it all depends on what fuel was in the car for that race.

?Vette Z06 vs Koenigsegg CCXR - BBC Top Gear (http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/corvette-z06-vs-koenigsegg-ccxr-drag-race-2011-06-06)

I like all the comments under the video. "the CCXR only lost because it had a bad start." I don't care how bad the start was, if that car was making 1024 HP it would have run down that Z06, especially since they ran a full mile. There are really only two possibilities here.

1. The entire race was staged, to make the Z06 look good.

or

2. The CCXR wasn't making anywhere near 1024HP like it states in the video.

Interesting. Driver mod needed?

More interesting info.

More like buy the Z06, the house, the summer house, the boat for the summer house and the Z06 for the summer house. Koenigseggs start at $1.2M and go up from there...

Seen some videos of a CCX (or some variant of it) put bus lengths on a C6 ZR1, so something isn't right with this video.
