I got a 16. dia plate i have to make w 1 3.5 dia pipe thread. it is standard so ithink the pitch is .125 or so (from memory). i am going to single point thread mill it for sure. no problem. here is my hang up, the plate is only .625 thick. I very rarely see pipe threads but that dont sound like a hole lot of thread to engage the part the mating part. The other crappy part is there is a requirement for how much engages meaning that mating part has a height requirement. as you can tell i dont pipe thread too often but it sounds like ass to me.
