I think he was a musical genius for his time. I heard a couple years ago he was finally finishing up SMiLE but haven't heard anything since. If it ever does get released I will buy it.

"for his time" - Are you saying that his tunes won't stand the test of time? Or that comapratively he pushed things forward?
Just curious.

You gotta vote from the heart. Duecing in the shower is always a solid choice.
the music is good...the story is an American legend...
I like Brian, his talents & his group.

By that I mean he set a standard others followed. Looking back from the present, his music is still great, it just sounds dated. Can't fault the guy for that. Time marches on and leaves even legends to the history books.

Not if you have the squirts. :ack:
The Beach Boys had some good tunes, but nothing stands out for me. Too young I guess. :leaving:

Rumor has it that it will be released this year sometime. (will also be released on vinyl). Brian Wilson was good, and his talent contributed to many awesome hits, and albums. I've been a beach boys fan for well over 20 years now, and still listen to their vinyl records on a weekly basis.
While considered good, I think Mike Love has also done his part keeping the hits coming, and keeping (what's left of the group) together and touring. Brian Wilson does non-musical tours these days, but Mike Love puts on a good concert (saw them in Jackson last October)

Rumor also has it that in the next year or so, all the remaining beach boys will reunite for a concert tour....you can bet I'll be there.
