Nope, the grub is a larva of a kind of butterfly that burrows into the Maguey plant. The actual putting of the worm in the bottle was a marketing gimmick by a bottler to prove that his Mescal was authentic Mescal from Oaxaca. Tequila doesn't have a worm. :leaving:
