In a nutshell, allows ya to convert various video file types into various other video file types.

Why would ya want to do that?

Cause depending on what your doing, ya may be limited to just one or two file types and would need the versatility to change it up...

Got ya. For example, it would allow me to convert a .jpeg to .mp4?I don'lt know enough about it yet to know if it will allow ya to make a slideshow vid out of jpegs or not. It may be just a converter.

FWIW, I downloaded it and scanned it with MSE and it shows as clean...
