?? for A, Z or S plan peeps

Is the S plan offered through Ford (in general) giving you the same price as the Z or A plan? I thought S plan was a bit of a knock off on the invoice...but that usually A and Z dropped the price significantly.

I'm looking to purchase a Mazda 6 grand touring for the wife. MSRP is listed at 31.9k which they dropped to 29.5. Sales person claims thats S plan price and that S is the same discount as A and Z.

WTF? I could negotiate (I would think) more than $2400 off without the S plan pricing.

I'm thinking a fair price (if the car is 31.9k MSRP) would be 10% off MSRP. Am I wrong?

Good point. A, Z and S plans are what Ford gives to employees (A for currently working, Z for retired). S-plan I think is for friends - though not sure.

I think so... I suppose what I'm saying is that I think the sales person is either incorrect and not giving me proper Z plan pricing...or dumb and doesn't know better.

I thought Z plan (which is retired employee pricing) was like 15-20% off msrp...

There is:
"A" Plan = Current Employee (invoice minus all the back end money)
"Z" Plan = Retired Employee (virtually the same as "A" Plan)
"D" Plan = Dealership employee ($100.00 more than "A" Plan)
and
"X" Plan = Fleet customer employees, approved association, franchisee's and approved friends and neighbors programs (basically dealer invoice plus $100)

You could do better directly from a dealership than most "X" Plan pricing :yesnod:
