LOUISVILLE, KY - The Louisville-built Ford Super Duty was named "Top Heavy Duty Pickup" AutoPacific's 15th annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). The awards are aimed to help consumers make informed vehicle purchase decisions. The Super Duty was one of seven Ford vehicles named.

"We are so pleased to have been honored with this award," said Jeff Wood, director of Manufacturing, Assembly Operations Ford Motor Company. "This is an honor for all of our employees who work so hard everyday at our Kentucky Truck Plant to build the F-Series Super Duty and highlights Ford's commitment to excellence."

The Vehicle Satisfaction Award from AutoPacific is an industry benchmark for measuring how satisfied an owner is with his or her new vehicle. Winners are based on a study by the Southern California-based automotive research firm that summarizes results from more than 68,000 new vehicle owners.

"Proof of satisfied customers is as good as gold," says George Peterson, president of AutoPacific. "We've found that more than one-third of new car buyers are positively influenced by objective awards based on owner ratings when deciding on a new car or truck."

AutoPacific awards are based on performance in 48 separate categories that objectively measure the ownership experience.

I can't find a Lariat long-bed. Too many sissy trucks up here...

That's odd. All we order are long beds.

I love mine!! Just got it a month ago, and traded my 4dr Jeep in on it. It rides nice, is really comfy, interior is hands down 10x better than Dodge and GM. I drove all 3, and from stoplight to stoplight, the Ford felt the quickest, dunno about undr load. With 400hp and 800ftlbs tho, the thing runs nice!!
My only bitch so far is the sound system blows donkey dicks!! I even have the Nav system with the "upgraded" stereo, it still is sucko!!
Getting it replaced next week anyway, so oh well!!
Some pics...

My boat weighs in around 5500 with trailer, and you can't even tell its back there.

And I just ordered the lift and wheels today to make it look like this...

I have always liked the Ford SD's, just dont like their styling.

All in all, this pretty much sums up the HD truck market:

Overall, reviewers are certain that it’s hard to make a bad choice in this small but extremely competitive class: A few hundred pounds of towing capability or one or two extra cup holders won’t make much of a difference.

Well, except for the Dodge part. Someone must have slipped them some cash under the table for that one.

A Cummins engine would be the only thing to get dodge high marks.

Unfortunately they don't have a transmission to bolt it to. Or a durable chasis to put it in.

It's odd, in the south I rarely saw reg cab short beds. Here in the Midwest I see them everywhere. It's about 40% reg cab short bed.

you can tow a 5500 lb boat/trailer rig with a 1/2 ton pickup "and can't even tell its back there."

the F-super duty is a nice truck tho...and yours is a good looking example.

And you're right, you can pull that with a 150, much easier down where you are where it's flat than up here in the hills of WV!!

BUT, I can't pull our 4horse slant, or my dad's 36' 5er that weighs around 15k loaded with a 150!! I really liked the Raptor, and the limited F150, but just need more truck, and I'm not too fond of the gas engines.

Short road trip the other day, I got 19.7 mpg average (hand calculated) with the diesel with less than a 1k miles on it. They only get better after miles are put on.

A guy working at Cummins has 1.1 million miles on his Cummins diesel and all it needed was an injector replaced.

An older 12 or 24 valve 5.9 I'm guessing, but yea, they are advertised as million mile motors! We have a 98 reg cab dually that has just over 300k, and runs like a scolded dog!
Raptor = Bad Ass :yesnod:

Tru dat!! Too pricey tho, and unusable around my area, unusable in what they are built for. No to mention the 8-11 mpg is a bit insane! After rebates and discount, I got my f250 for less than what I could by the raptor for.

I saw a 4door Raptor in Pearl (metallic) Black...w/ the 6.2L...

truck was awesome.

Just not a truck I need or am willing to spend 60K on.

You were wise to get the 250 for your needs.

Found the trick to getting the LWB up here. Just go to a 350 vs a 250.

Hey Silver Mullet, when does the 2012 Order Book show up?

Pretty standard stuff. There really isn't much difference between a F250 and a F350, so dealers "make" a difference, if only to keep themselves sane. Inventory is a problem with a product line that offers literally 100,000's of different combinations.
