Takes a lot to make me angry about anything anyone here says or elsewhere online. But then I don’t get too involved in some of the ongoing ‘personal’ battles here so there’s that….
I get annoyed that the Hub doesn't allow one to search for whites only. Blacks, Asians & Latinas have multiple personalized categories.
No just white categories.
That's annoying.
Does that count :island14:

don't really care, the sad part is even when provided with facts, there is a certain group that fails to understand it or believe it (you know who you are). Life must suck for them, I'm just trying to enjoy each day.

Exactly as are others including me. I don’t think there are many that have gone back and forth with Lars than me over the years. He says what’s on his mind like we all do including myself. Doesn’t mean I carry any underlying disrespect or hatred, seems like a decent guy as do most here, there just isn’t always agreement so boo hoo. The way I speak apparently makes people think that I'm upset on a regular basis.
The reality is that I can't point to a single time that I have ever been butthurt by something on the internet. There have been lots of stupid things said, lots of stupid people, lots of online arguments, but never has anything actually upset me in "real" life.
If the internet actually does upset you, I'd say it's time to step back, take a look, and adjust accordingly.

Same.
I think my posting style lends some to think I’m mad or wound up tight. When in fact I’m a pretty mellow fellow.
I almost never get angry at people in the day to day. And I spent my life in the construction business working with a lot of assholes.
Usually when I’m mad it’s because I’m upset with myself, because of a mistake or something I could’ve should’ve…
But yeah, mix an Irish attitude with an Italian mouth…honed in a rough town like Baltimore, and it’s “**** you”…”kiss my ass”…”go **** a brick”….
Then…”ok, let’s grab a slice and a long neck”

Italian Irish here and grew up in the Pittsburgh streets so yeah, short fuse that goes out quickly. Screw with me and I'm coming back at you hard and then I get chill real fast.
But I've mellowed a LOT over the decades. If something someone says pizzed you off you've just given them control over you.... I hate two people in my career give me advice as I rose to a Federal Executive I've never forgotten:
1. A police chief (retired), only exec I knew w/o a college degree:
"Frank, don't let others see you get emotional in meetings it makes them think your're responsible for all the problems, and, you're not." Right after I 'went off' in a big meeting over an unbelievable and totally avoidable gov't f*ck up by another group.
2. A little black gal, and an employee in a hallway conversation:
"Mr. Frank, don't let others steal your peace!" After she saw me jump another exec that was trying to dance around his responsibility to fix an issue by goading me.
I became pretty unflappable in the swirl of problems after some practice and it served me well.

Dangerous, nasty work and long hours in the steel industry 'back in the day'.
I remember sitting in grandfather's Pittsburg apartment and hearing the sirens from the steel mill regularly and him saying, "...that means somebody got hurt" - and it was usually bad, really bad. No OSHA back then.

Bluntly, yes...and it's a problem. When I got hit with the cancer/ extended hospital stays I literally didn't have the strength to do anything except lay in the bed and doom scroll. Once out, I was trapped doing it too much at home. Seems like every search engine wanted me to have a "News feed" under the search box, and the endless leftist propaganda really got to me. Then I noticed that AI was somehow tracking how I looked at these stories and began to send the same to any social media accounts I have.
I'm down a small amount from the scrolling, but working to get back to IRL stuff so I don't waste my time and get annoyed on-line.
Not to mention, that AI is infecting searches and rendering most of them useless.

I don't know which AI you're using, but the ones I use not only provide an accurate summary most of the time but they also provide links to the sources they used so you can easily fact-check and get more information.

Learned this trick recently, a Google search of my name is now squeaky clean with no addresses or numbers. But the companies that mine your data are persistent, but Google will come back when new searches appear and you can remove them.

Biggest offender is Google. I'm stuck with it on my Android phone. It now tries to send everything back to a search related to the local area I live in, instead of going directly to the subject/ facts I need. To make up an example:
I search "Steve Morse Modified Telecaster Guitar".
The search comes back with a list of stores, starting with Guitar Center, on to on-line places, some random local that plays guitar, local music stores that may or may not even sell guitars and pools shaped like guitars near me.
Below it asks if I only want to search what I entered in the first place, so I hit it to search my original phrase. Then I get endless feedback on Morse code, how to get my ham license, telephones, body modification near me, telecommuting jobs near me, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Rainbow vacuums, Purple paint by Eastwood.....
I modify it to ask: Guitars Steve Morse plays and get
Dimarzio pickups, Ritchie Blackmore, Hush, Dixie Dregs, Live in Japan, airparks near me, John Travolta, Nautilus fitness machine, runways, bridges near me.
Then I ask Steve Morse Equipment: and get Commercial pilot, The Dregs, Uli John Roth, practice morse code key, ham radio outlet, ground plane anetnnas.....etc....
So I try the guitars well known nickname" Frankentele" and get: Eddie Van Halen, Diver down, Super Strat, Alan Holdsworth, women and children first, Titanic, cold as ice, Foreigner Four, Guitar Center, Sweetwater, AMS Music SDupply, Guiatr shops near me....
Usually I can never find the exact thing I am searching for. If I enter a web address I KNOW had the information, it often changes that to some other address, always "near Me" and heads off down the lack of information road yet again. While I made up this example, this is exactly how the majority of searches now return. Not to mention an AI overview before the results that totaly misses the point/ subject/ search...
Google and it's followers SUCK.

Stuck how? Are you prevented from installing the Brave browser on it?

Here's what Brave's AI-assisted search (called "Ask Leo") returns for that exact query:

While I made up this example, this is exactly how the majority of searches now return. Not to mention an AI overview before the results that totaly misses the point/ subject/ search...
Google and it's followers SUCK.
And depending on your demographic even those f*cked up responses will change... And Google was doing this a decade before AI became a buzzword.

All Google can do is remove the obvious from the search results they provide. Once your data is out there it is archived forever. :yesnod:
I don't doubt that, as the same sites are repopulating the data, so it must be somewhere. Lol that being said, doesn't hurt to remove it from searches as Google does all the heavy lifting.

Stuck how? Are you prevented from installing the Brave browser on it?
Here's what Brave's AI-assisted search (called "Ask Leo") returns for that exact query:
As far as I've seen, anything used on an Android based system is still affected by Google for results. As for the search you ran, I did say I had made this one up so as to explain the type of results I get. At home, I use all manner of search engines to compare and contrast against each other, and in the last two months it seems they're all falling in line behind Google's AI overviews and puking out those same results....
