Anyone watching? I haven’t golfed in years, and I don’t watch golf any other time. But what a visual event.

And where else are you going to see a TV commercial for a Maybach?

Rory’s game vs Bryson says Rory wins but Rory looks like he’s dreading Sunday and Bryson is looking forward to it.

I'm watching it. How about that 15th green? :willy: As always, the course is magnificent. They must keep a small army of groundskeepers to keep it maintained to that level. Superb golf is being demonstrated. I felt badly for Bernhard Langer missing the cut. Watching Fred Couples eagle 14 from 191 yards out was nothing short of amazing.

I will be playing there next year. I can get 5 worms on a fish hook now, by next year I should be able to get 6 on and I'll be eligible. Watch for it.

If John Daly would wear a short skirt, he could completely dominate the LPGA. Democrats would swoon and remark on how stunning and brave he was.

Rory has the skills to do it, but he certainly can choke when the game is on the line.

The Masters has sparked controversy by altering the traditional pin location on the 16th hole for Sunday's final round.

Instead of its usual back-left position, organisers have placed it back-right, as it was in earlier decades.

The traditional placement has historically provided good opportunities for hole-in-ones and has been the scene of dramatic moments.

Most notably, Tiger Woods made a memorable chip-in at this location back in 2005.

The change has upset many fans who consider the Sunday pin position on the 16th to be an iconic part of the tournament's final day drama, however.

The tournament explained the change with a post on social media.

"Sunday's hole location on No 16 matches that of the final round of the 1975 Masters in honour of the 50th anniversary of Jack Nicklaus winning his fifth Green Jacket," they stated.

The decision appears to be a deliberate nod to golfing history, commemorating one of the sport's greatest champions.

Nicklaus's fifth Masters victory in 1975 was a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

Despite the historical significance, the change has disrupted what many consider a sacred Masters tradition on the tournament's most dramatic day.

Golf fans have not reacted well to the surprising alteration.

One posted on X: "the tournament is bigger than any one player or moment even Jack would admit/agree with that. Saturday for respect yes Sunday deserved the traditional pin position with all of its history you guys dropped the ball here."

Another wrote: "yeah not sure I like this call. Traditional Sunday placement is better."

Some responses were more blunt, with comments including "epic fail", "absolutely stupid idea" and "this is awful".

One particularly upset fan even suggested that "whoever chose this location needs to be fired on the spot."

Despite the controversy over the pin placement, excitement for Sunday's round remains immense.

"A damn close run thing" - as the Duke of Wellington said after Waterloo.

Kudos to Justin Rose. Could have gone either way. :seasix:
