For those unknowing what REAL looks like!
Not a fan of the color, but that is a very cool piece of memorabilia.
Also, I considered reporting you for posting Corvette related content, but decided to give you a break. Just make sure it doesn't happen again.
Is That one of those Banned around 1980 Lead Paint ~ Poisonous Paint Chips that cause Severe Brain Damage and Behavioral Abnormalities ?
GM, like other automakers, historically used lead-based paints, especially in the earlier years, lead-based paints are no longer used in automotive manufacturing. However, older vehicles may still have lead paint, and it's important to handle them with care to avoid exposure.
Lead was used in automotive paints for its corrosion resistance, durability, and ability to enhance colors and drying times.
Lead-based paints were phased out due to the health risks associated with lead exposure.
Automakers now use lead-free paints and other materials that offer similar properties without the health risks.
If you own or work on older vehicles, especially those manufactured before the 1980s, there's a good chance they may have lead-based paint.
Exposure to lead dust or fumes from sanding or chipping paint can be harmful to comedians like Rickles
If you're working on older vehicles with potentially lead-based paint, take precautions such as wearing a respirator, using proper safety equipment, and disposing of paint chips and dust properly and handling Paint Chips like a Hockey Puck :leaving:

OR, pick a nice cool breezy day, and stand upwind of the sanding/chipping and if necessary, wash it down the driveway.....or let it filter down into the grass....
such a HUGE big deal......
