A common site at SE FL stores.
Crazy thing is the store's employees help them load it.
I bet that loaded truckie can pull a wheelie!!

I own a mid-sized pickup with 5' bed. But I know what I have, and would never pretend it is anything more than that.
I sat there for five minutes watching the four stooges. The owner was ahead of me in the check-out, a big guy- probably about 6'-5", like some other retard we know.
After the sLowes employees got the flat cart where they wanted it, they used a fork truck to jam the stuff into the bed of the pickup. The owner didn't even have his parking brake on, so the truck was lurching back and forth against the parking pawl.
They eventually gave up and reloaded the crap back into the store.

somebody at Lowes should have put a stop to even attempting that. Each employee that participated in trying to load that should have had a "maybe we shouldn't be doing this" impulse and called for a manager for a call on the play. It was Lowes' job to tell the customer "no, we're not going to load this in your truck....bring a more suitable truck with an 8' bed at least, or pay for delivery."
I wonder if the surviving big pieces can be successfully cut down to 4x8 sheets and resold?

Is that you standing in the foreground by the rear of the truck observing/supervising? It looks like you or one of dvarapala's animations of you. As us boomers age, we tend to all start looking like bass fishermen or Santa Claus....or Mr. Green Jeans.
Talk about 'to heck with physics' on that loading job!!

I think that one of the guys attempting this was a manager.
Also the fork truck driver should have put a stop to it. They go through some type of training and certification. I assume part of that training is when to say no.

Guy in the foreground was the truck owner/ customer. As big as Large Blob, and obviously just as dumb.
What makes this especially funny to me is these guys with their $80k pickup trucks, think that their super cab can do anything, when most of the time it's nothing more than a poodle carrier. :Jeff '79:

It's no surprise that a guy who'd own a half ton chevy girlytruck would think that's an appropriate way to haul material.

Pickups with quad cabs and 5' beds are flat-out GAY. 5' bed is totally useless in any weight capacity. Just get a Suburban or Expedition and at least have a roof over your tiny luggage space.
The minimum bed length for a small truck is 6' (like my Hi Lux) or 6.5 feet for a full size short bed. At least it'll haul 8' sheets of whatever.
I've hauled 16' lumber on my '83 using the rollbar as a tie down point. With the tailgate closed. Looked like a well-digging rig, but not an issue.

I was toying with the idea of getting a new Ranger but they no longer make them with a 6' bed. Looks like I will be driving it for a very long time.

In before the half ton owners say 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are for posers.

A 12' long load is no problem with my truck. Also, it does not squat.

12' drywall would probably end up half on the road.

They were lucky to have tried something so absurdly unworkable that the universe told them no.
The worst thing that could happen is if they got closer to a realistic bad idea that had a shot to be a tragedy.
