I've noticed a few of these Flock solar powered license plate readers popping up more around our neighborhoods. Seems to be the camera of choice now for businesses, HOA neighborhoods, apartment complexes, etc.

These cameras can be linked to law enforcement databases to find stolen cars, etc.

Just visited my local Home Depot and there's a brand new one pointed directly at the drive through front entry.

I think its a great thing. Bad guys get caught, stolen cars found, lost old people rescued...

As a boring law abiding citizen, I see no problem with this.

Slightly different but who doesn't like random facts....

If you get a ticket in the mail for driving through a red light, you do NOT have to pay it. A driving infraction needs to be ticketed to the driver not the vehicle.
Simply respond by telling them you don't know who was driving that vehicle that day & the ticket goes away.
I've done it twice.

Also, stop signs in mall, grocery store, strip-mall, etc parking lots are recommendations & not enforced by law enforcement because it's private property. This is the reason the stop signs are smaller than ones on the street.

The AI engine back at HQ is astonishingly powerful. As a general search query they can enter a color of a vehicle and then add "Van" or "coupe" and it'll only display those results.

Big brother knows where you're going all-of-the-time. The good news is.. the bad guys get caught much quicker. When the wackadoo thought he was going to shoot Trump at the golf course and then fled.. they knew where he went and the exact exit he got off at in a matter of minutes.

I saw those at both entrances to a neighborhood the other day and wondered what they were. The website wants you to sign up for a demo but it doesn’t give a price.

Might have to buy some of their stock, if they're traded?

Similar video, plate reading, technology used at our Southern border Ports Of Entry.

We need more driving laws and greater enforcement, as the Asshole Driving Participation Rate in this town has grown exponentially in the last 10 years.

Anyone on our roads NOT in a Corvette should get 12 points immediately, loss of driving privileges for 12 months.

No, I am not kidding,,,

These readers are in the police cars here in Florida and have been for a while.

When a trooper is driving down the interstate the camera is scanning all of the license plates. I got busted for an expired registration due to a Post Office snafu and me not remembering it...as I use the mail for the reminder.

He was so far away he could not have read my plate, the camera busted me.

Police had them for many years as well, ez-pass for 25 years i guess when you passed through the tolls here. Now with that device private citizens can set them up.
Most thieves here that break into homes to get the keys for high end cars use stolen cars or plates, so that can help if there is a real time alert to the police.

I wear glasses but have never noticed different size stop, yield, no parking signs at private property (Shopping centers are a big user of their own signs)

I do know that in certain areas signs that are actually official are marked on the back by what agency authorized them!. If they say something like the "smith company" they are not offical and not enforceable by LEOs. You can take a ticket into court and if you protest it get it thrown out. You do not protest it you will be found guilty, the judge who knows that will easily take your money.

When they can get you into trouble is with a insurance company if you have a accident as proof that you were doing something stupid like not stopping, or yielding at the sign.
