Back when I was about 14 a Diet doctor that used Hypnosis tried on 3 different occasions and could not do me.

I remember reading somewhere years ago that if you do not believe in it it will not work!

Many, many years ago I was attending some kind of awards banquet. For entertainment they hired a "hypnotist". He chose about 6 people from the crowd to be "hypnotized". I was one of the chosen ones. As he walked among us, he would whisper in our ear, would we play along? Then the ones who I guess said no, he "determined" they could not be and sent them back. I had fun and played along. We did some stupid tricks but at the end while we were under his trance, he told us that every time we heard a certain word we would buck like a chicken. He then released the trance and sent us back to the crowd. About 5 minutes later, he said the majic word, and being a good sport, I started bucking like a chicken....:Jeff '79: To this day I never told anyone it was a fake....I just had too much fun with it....:funniest:

No. Never tried it.

My Mother tried it in order to stop smoking and found she couldn't be hypnotized, had "too strong a character".

HOWEVER she sure stopped ALL BY HERSELF after my Dad's sister & my Uncle Bill both died in their early 50s of lung cancer.

Much more effective than hypnotism! They stopped cold turkey, & promised me £100 (today worth about £2000) if I didn't smoke by the time I reached 21. Easy money, as I never cared for it.
