Remember the good ol' days of Girl Scouting ?

I used to race home from work to change into my Rico Suave clothes & then jump in the Grand Prix and go Girl Scouting .
It was mandatory to have some good tunes playing & some witty opening lines on the ready .

Solo missions were more difficult , so I would team with another buddy with style & we would cruise the circuit , looking for a pair
of sassy & adventurous chicks .

Usually the event would center around getting some beer & Bartles & James wine coolers & then driving to a popular hang out,
up a gravel road to a hilltop that overlooks the town below .

It was some great fun while in that 17 to 20yr old stage, when you had a car but too young for the bars .

Does anyone remember 'girl scouting' & have some memorable stories to share ? :cool:

for us it was hitting up the clubs (they had under 18 dance clubs and 18 over) or the beach. My old man took us out "cruising" in the 80's but they eventually banned cruising...low and slow

I went to college so cruising wasn't necessary, the girls lived in the same building.

In high school, while cruising FTL Beach during spring break as a young punk, a fine young lady in a bikini tossed the contents of her red solo cup in my face while riding shotgun in my buddy's '71 Cuda.

Pretty certain whatever I said before the cup toss was worthy of such,,,

Living at the Jersey Shore, it was like “clubbing baby seals” since the beaches, boardwalks, and clubs were jammed with girls on vacation looking for fun. Sort of like spring break but from April to September. Even during the colder winter months, most of the big bars and clubs stayed opened for locals. It was great!
Never called it “Girl Scouting” never heard the term.
PS, I had a Grand Prix as well!

I'm so old that when I reached 18, that was still the legal drinking age in NYS. :eek:

Started drinking at 17, so we didn't find as many chicks walking the streets as there were in bars. After 18, wow, we went barhopping several nights a week and always on the weekends. :smash:
