Pet Meds, specifically compounded

My GF dog needs Mexiletine in 100mg. Many sites say they have it, then you call and they dont.
Anyone have a good online pharmacy that can make this.
Out pharmacy is old school. But, never makes them on time, and f he makes them, he never makes enough. Not good..

I just logged into my prescriber account with Wedgewood Pharmacy, where my practice orders all its compounded meds from. They show Mexiletine available.

I need to call them again. They had chewables, treats and the pills in that compound on their site, but when I called they didnt. That was the first place our vet told us to enquire..

Shows 1 day processing time on my end... can't verify how accurate that is, though.

FWIW, the commercially available capsule size is 150mg. Perhaps you can ask your vet if that's still within the safe dose range for the dog? Save a lot of effort and cost.

Try chewy. We have ordered compounded meds from them in the past.

We did try that but they didn't work with the specific drug in question.

(Chewy does have some good deals on ferret food though!)

Published dose range is 6 to 10 mg per kg of body weight. 65 lbs = ~30 kg. 30kg x 6mg = 180mg at low end
30kg x 10mg = 300mg at high end.

I fail to see the problem with 150mg caps.

The vet we have been using for years works with a local pharmacy. I did not know about this until a couple years back before Ricky passed. Vet gave us the meds and we took them to the pharmacist to have them compounded. Pharmacist called the vet for verification and all worked out fine

Vet gave you the meds? And then the pharmacist just made them the right dosage?
