After watching the asking and selling prices in Kissimmee, this retiree will pass on watching the alcohol and avarice fueled shitshow at BJ. I've had enough idiocy for this year.

I would think it’s because of the Z06. :island14:

Z06’s are everywhere but that yellow was one of two colors that cost $750 more if you wanted it. A bargain at twice the price.
Edit: it was said it was the first Z06 painted in that color (one of 600 and change)
No idea why it was said, it not going to change the value

Ok
I was guessing that more people would want a Z06 than a pace car.

I’m guessing you’re correct, neither will ever see the road with those low miles but it’s odd that an 07 convertible pace car… one of 500 made… did far less than the 2001 Z
Looking forward to the silly money Saturday.👍
Bunch of well bought cars at almost reasonable prices so far but it’s early

A bunch of pace cars went across the block yesterday I watched at least four of them maybe five and all of them had salvage titles. Why is that? Why would a pace car have a salvage title?

I know that vehicles coming out of the GM stock are usually pre production cars and can't be driven on the road-maybe those ?

They were all Corvettes and Camaros Cameros which looked like production models with pace car livery.
They were all pretty ugly too.
Headed to BJ's Saturday!
We went two years ago and I did the C8 ride-along in the parking lot after too many $10 beers.

My speculation for the salvage is because hurricane flood damage. People tend to simply park these things and stare at them, so when the SHTF in a weather emergency they get left behind to suffer the consequences.

There's gotta be some tax play involved, if purchase price establishes value then whopping depreciation can be written off, idk, aside from calling it charity but you're not supposed to receive stuff directly in return for a contribution. I don't make enough money to know about what trickery is going on.
Not impressed with anything I’ve seen.

Anything above fair market value paid in a charity auction can be taken as a deduction. In the case of the VIN #1 ZR1, let’s say a fair market value is $500,000 (MSRP plus typical mark up). Anything paid over that amount to a charity auction can be claimed for a tax deduction. You have to have income on a scale like Hendricks for it to make sense
