Looks like a lot of work. My wife usually doubles recipes. If it is soup, I put it in a bunch of little containers, freeze it, then remove, vacuum seal in nice little blocks, date it and 3 months later or whenever I want and tastes as good as the day it was made.

In the past few years, I've enjoyed staying in and cooking and hosting friends and guests over going out. It's much more relaxing and low-key. Great that you guys are having fun. I'll be 64 next month and am in year number 4 of retirement. Time sure flies.....glad you are making the most of it!
