Yes and no. While NOBODY would say they’re great musicians they definitely tapped into something that connected with people.

You clearly don’t understand my point. Maybe you’re not capable, or maybe you’re just being obtuse. Given your post history I’d say it’s the latter.

I think the best stuff was pre-1980. Steppenwolf, Rare Earth, Humble Pie, Creedence Clearwater, Spirit, etc. etc. Lots of hard rock going on from '67 to '80, the best stuff pre-'75.
**** Pink Floyd. **** Rush. **** Journey. And **** Genisis.
Buh-bye.

Da fuq? I mean, we could argue whether Genesis was better with Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins, but I have to strenuously disagree with the bolded comment.

Pink Floyd is definitely considered one of the best rock bands of the '70s and I agree.
You guys are free to enjoy Pink Floyd and Genesis. I’ll rock out to Humble Pie and CCR. Buh bye

I'm not a Genesis fan, but Dark Side of the Moon is considered the greatest rock album from the 70s. It's hard to argue that they're not great.

KISS doesnt suck. They were the entertainment band of the 70s/80s. It was a show like no other.
Some of their music is pretty darn good..
Most heavy metal is great music to listen too. Each and every person has their favorites.

Sadly, there are no surviving members of Molly Hatchet.
Great band, great era. I hear them every once in a great while and am brought right back to the simpler times of the late '70's.

I recently saw the post-Udo Accept with Mark singer guy and KK's Priest at a reaaallly small venue of less than 500 people. Holeeeee hell did they bring it.
It's different without Udo but Accept still kills it. Razor sharp guitars and incredible percussion. That was a great show that had everyone high-fiving on the way out after a double encore

Ted kills it every step of the way.
I'll never forget his sit down with Rogan where Ted plays the opening for "Stranglehold" just a minute -- then stops to show the hair on his arm standing up. He said that the riffs are so powerful that 40 years later after writing it, it still gives him goosebumps. Now, that's some man's manly rock that doesn't suck
