Anyone have or had these ? Going on my 2020 GMC Terrain Denali. I have had good luck with their Defenders but decided to try these.

Looked at them for my Traverse, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. No winter down here so I'm still thinking about Pilot Cup 4 AS

They get great reviews, they feel amazing for a short while then just like any other tire really. I found my friend's car with these to wander a little more in the rain.
When I had these on my list to consider, I went a cheaper route with kumho solus ha31 which has a similar tread design except it also has a center rib and I have had no complaints with them on my daily. Will get to try them out in snow soon but they have been great in the rain.

I like Michelin tires. I got 70K from the OEM LTX AT2 on my truck. So I went back with the same tires.

Truth is I probably could have ran them for another 5-10K miles but I got a good size nail in one and I plugged it myself. It appeared to be holding up but I was close to ready for a new set so I pulled the trigger.

About the same as Pilot Sports on a C7Z, C7ZR1 and GS.
Would not bet tires prices decrease as crude drops, as tire makers like their margins.

04 - I have those Cross climates on my Lexus LS 460 sedan. That car lived it's life in warm weather until we moved back to North Dakota (where we are from) 2 years ago. I knew I was going to need new tires, and I wanted them to be good in snow ....

I did my research and picked these. My car is AWD. The first snow 2 winters ago I took it out and HOLY CRAP I felt like I was driving my JEEP in snow. Those tires plus AWD (or 4WD) in snow or rain are AMAZING. Quiet on the highway too.

They are a little more compliant so not as good in TIGHT handling as before but won't matter for your sport ute.

These tires seem to do almost everything else well. Oh ... I was in a nasty monsoon rain storm in Texas last year I had AMAZING traction.

Love them - you will too.

It's funny how some say they are so quiet and some say they are noisy....The OEM tires that came on the Terrain are Hankooks and I have hated them for 62K miles ...I doubt these will be noisier than the Hankooks are.

I should have enough on them to make it to our January event, but that will destroy what's left. Then it's a function of what to replace with...PS4S or another set of Cup 2Rs. Given we want to have a fun track day for the Cruise In, I'll likely go again with the Cup 2Rs, as there is no way in hell a McLaren is going to beat my car at an autocross.

Also, the car will only be driven between 2-4k miles a year, so basically 1 set per year.

Is there a 200tw option in your sizes? I’d look at those too.

Nankang makes a set that will fit the stock rims. You give up 20 mm in the rear rubber, and are neutral for the most part in the front. This is also under consideration. Having said that, Nankang are SCCA legal for SS, Cup 2Rs are not. I don't need SCCA rules to take on a McLaren.

Is there any reason why you aren't using dedicated winter and summer tires?
I have Toyo's (can't remember which ones) for the summer, spring and fall and Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV (studded) for the winter on my Ford Expedition.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the Pilot Sport 4S's for $2,250 and change. I still need to get a 2nd set of rims, and have time before Cruise In Florida to devour that McLaren, but the Cup 2Rs are shitty daily tires. Great when new with EPIC traction, but after 2700 miles, the ass end can get unsettled...which NEVER happens.

hit 40k miles on the wife's 2020 Terrain and the Hankook's will need replaced sooner than later.

No road noise to speak of, I also had Hankooks which I hated since I drove off the lot...was just too cheap to replace them...I got a bit over 62k with them and might have gone through the winter if I lived where I know I wouldn't get any ice or snow. These are light years better than the Hankooks.

OEM tires are generally crap and massively overpriced, IMO.
The Hankooks are no exception.
$330 each at tirerack

my experience with Michelin Defenders and now these are very good...not noisy to me and the Defenders I have had in past I got 90+K out of each set....these are rated for 60K but I'm sure with the way I keep them inflated and rotated I'll get at least 80K.

I pulled the trigger on a brand new set of Titanium Satin rims, and a set of Nankang CRS tires to be my new race tires. I'll finally have 2 sets of rims, with the proper rubber for each circumstance. I won't swap the PS4Ss onto the factory rims until after the January 4-5 event. After that, street tires are street tires, and Nankangs are class-legal race tires. Had to give up 30mm in the rear, and added 10mm in the front, but getting proper rubber for C6-C8 Corvettes for street classes has been a shit show for 10 years.

Wifey's XT5 came with michelins, good wear, on third set.

Most michelins come with treadwear warranty, inquire at time of purchase.

I got a free set, as was owed 20+% from warranty, michelin customer service jacked me around, supervisor got involved, nice dood, agreed his people sucked, told me he would cut me a check for all four new tires.

We put these on the Subi a couple weeks back. Ordered in Dec from Costco. They were aprox $80 total additional over the BFG All Terrains. Took three weeks to get an appt and get them mounted. A good amount of snow just dumped on us starting last week.

Surprisingly, these tires kick a$$ for the money. Drove through some really crappy mountain road conditions ; deep snow, icey roads and two feet of frozen slop in the ski resort parking lot.
Family was visiting and drove it following us in the Jeep. They were impressed. The tires handled everything we threw at them all last week.

Would definitely purchase again.

Handled slick mountain roads of hwy191 like a champ!
This was one of the better road condition days. Slippery but navigable. :cool1:

I usually go for the cheaper tires. I guess it depends on your driving pattern if a more expensive tire is worth it.. The Contis that my Plaid comes with are about $380 each plus install.. I got 28k miles out of them. When it was time to change, I went with NEXEN Roadian GTX tires which are half of the price of the Contis and at this point, I have over 20k miles on them with plenty life remaining. I don't see any difference in handling etc., not even a difference in road noise even though the CONTIs are marketed as a silent tire due to the foam inside them.. All marketing bullshit. Never had an issue going with the cheaper tire. Sure, if you go offroad or drive in snow, mud etc, tire choice may make a significant difference but for normal use, I always went with the cheaper tires and never had any issues.

I got the chance to run my Kumho Solus HA31 tires in some heavy rain, icy roads, and couple inches of snow recently, they handled it just fine. They're on an EV which of course has massive torque and the tires don't spin on takeoff like the ones I took off did. I'm not feeling any downsides to going with these cheaper tires over crossclimates.

nexen is south korean, as are hankooks and kumhos.
