I've seen them worse than that. A leak that was never fixed, rotted the floor where it was dangerous to walk on it. Dripping sewage into the crawl space.

So did you get the job, or was the cash a lowball offer? And what, exactly does the customer get for $ 27K? I'm assuming there's some structural damage of studs, etc, in addition to the straight tear out and rebuild. Does he want a shower, or another tub/tile backsplash combo?

My master has a garden tub and a separate shower. The tub probably hasn't been used more than maybe 3 dozen times, total, most of that being the, at the time, wife. I used it a couple of times long ago when I got poison ivy. Pour bleach in a tub of hot water, soak in it for 10 or 15 minutes, then shower off with cold water. Bleach dries the skin and pulls the oil out of it. Other than that, or maybe people with arthritis or injuries, I don't know why anyone would want to take a bath or a sitz bath.

I get that the ladies enjoy the whole bubble bath thing, but that's for mood enhancement, I doubt they're trying to get clean after a day getting dirty and greasy.

The microwave is actually an air fryer and toaster oven, so we cleared those separate things off our counters.

Now she's onto the master bath.... I keep telling her we aren't "Chip & Joanne" but she's on a roll now.
