I understand people that want to stay where their family is, however, regardless of this, I don’t understand people continuing to live somewhere as these natural disasters, become part of their life, having to rebuild and fear for their lives to live there. There are jobs all over the country and safer places to live. Your family can always get on a plane to visit you just as you can. I left Illinois to escape the brutal winters and moved to Arizona 43 years ago. All of my family lived there at that time, but I have never looked back. I used to visit from time to time in the nicer times of the year.

I never understood moving to another state because your kids moved there. Or staying in a state and putting up with harsh winters, Hurricanes, and tornadoes. Most of my neighbors are from Chicago the midwest New York and the South. They've been here 25 to 45+ years and their families will never move just stay in the same home town. You should live where you want to live not live where your family wants you too. :yesnod:

I couldn't care less about people leaving their trash cans out - hell, my fat **** neighbor's cans are still sitting out and trash pickup was yesterday.

I'm complaining because DoorDouchers park their cars in front of my driveway while they deliver to my fat **** neighbor who should really be cutting down on the fast food. :mad:

They roll the dice I guess, I've been next door in NM since 81. Not planned or escaping except military. Since that time, I would not live anywhere else. Not that this state is anything great but overall, the best weather in the country.

I have and will visit everyplace else but I sure as hell won't live in those areas
