Florida is lining up for what might be an actual bad hurricane and he hasn't posted anti-Florida threads yet. Anybody able to swing by and see if he's OK?

He will be along shortly. Being a true mountain man he is out surveying his vast virgin forest acre.

I tried to do a wellness check but there was a pebble in the driveway, and I didn't think my crew cab dually would clear it. I was forced to continue on down the road and turn around in somebody else's driveway.

Got this report from his doctor. He should be up and running when the meds kick in:

No need to do a wellness check. Yadkin's excellent foresight and preparation have made his safety and comfort a complete non-issue. He picked the perfect location to live and built the perfect home---- which he perfectly equipped.
There is nothing to see here.

True, but usually he takes the time to look down from his throne to annoy the peasants.....

We can't all live on a sky island. :D

I have two sisters that live in the same 'hood in Ft. Myers, elevation 6 or 7. Hopefully this next storm will spare them.

No such thing as a perfect home. I know because I have spent 50 years trying to build one. While I am mostly happy with every one I have built, not one is perfect.

The perfect home is not the problem it's the location. They all have their few good months. So the answer I found was multiple locations. It works well and the dirt is a good investment. :seasix:

Yadkin's home is the exception. Because Yadkin. :cert:

I'm very happy with my little cabin. Over 19 years I have made dozens, if not hundreds, of both small and large improvements.

The best thing is, you can be wearing your Lederhosen and Tyrolean hat and stand out front and people will naturally assume you are somewhere in the Black Forest. I call that a win. :cert:
