FWIW: I got stung as a kid by one bee and had an allergic reaction. My mom took me to the town doc who gave me a shot and I was fine. He said another half hour and I probably would have died.

Got stung again around 30-40 years ago, same thing. I drove to the emergency room, itching the bottom of my feet while driving my stick truck. That was fun. Got the shot and I could feel it start to go away within minutes.

Got stung since and no reaction. My doc said that allergies can change as the years go by.

If that's true its not even something to joke about, did you read about that school bus in South America that went off the road into a massive wasp nest. The kids were each stabbed 100s and 100s of times and died. I can't even imagine.

Wow! Welcome back to the living. I figured that was the reason for your sudden absence. I will definitely be more careful out in the woods and around my property.

A friend has a couple Bee hives. They supply me with excellent dark honey. I will pass on your story to him because he can sometimes be too nonchalant around them.


A bee can obtain speeds of from 12 to 15 miles per hour, but most healthy humans can outrun them. So, RUN! And when you run Keep Running ! Africanized honey bees have been known to follow people for more than a quarter mile.
